The workshop on “Experiential learning approach for developing Numeracy at Foundational stage” witnessed discussion on how to develop Mathematical abstract ideas or concepts through concrete experiences. The components/areas of Mathematics learning at early age were well explained. It was an informative, inspiring and joyful session. As a participant, I came to know how to encourage the students to use Mathematics in daily life situation. Some examples from classes 1 and 2 Mathematics book were given that focused on Experiential approach in teaching Mathematics. A few hands-on activities were suggested to help students improve their problem-solving skills. The workshop was fruitful and we will be applying all these in our future classroom transactions. .

I am very happy to attend this 5 days’ workshop on "CBL and Transforming Assessment in Foundational and Preparatory stage" by ZIET Bhubaneswar. The Resource Persons are excellent and the topics are very demanding for implementing the recommendations of NEP 2020 in true spirit. I consider this experience very rewarding and very educational. Thank you to Deputy Commissioner, Mrs. P.B.S.Usha Madam and the faculty members of the ZIET Bhubaneswar.
